We wish you all a new year full of dreams and aspirations being achieved. Reach out to someone you haven’t heard from in awhile and put a smile on their faces as we all like to communicate and connect with others.
We have a great team of staff who provide the following services to our local and Tokoroa community.
1. Help with housing and also assisting those in need to help keep their tenancies. Also if you want to learn about being a tenant and your rights plus the landlord obligations watch this space for up and coming training we will be providing 👍🏽
2. Youth Services for the community of Tokoroa - helping you with your license, your education, budgets, CVs, alternative education and providing you with a great mentor to help you through those tough times 16-18yrs. 👍🏽
3. Supporting those coming out of the prison system with accommodation, employment, tikanga māori and help to get you back on your feet.👍🏽
4. Tikanga Wananga programs developed for our māori men that are keen to re connect to who they are and support them through their own personal journey of being māori. (Referrals are made for this program) 👍🏽

Our lovely Whitney descends from Ngati Maniapoto, Tainui.
She has a strong military background including serving in the NZ Military for two years.
She has also completed papers in Youth Work and Rongoa Maori. She has been known on occasion to infuse our whole office with loads of goodness from the whenua!! 🌼🍃🌿🌸
Whitney is extremely passionate about being in tune with nature and all the resources provided to us by our land, forests and oceans.
Whitney is continually striving for success and loves to help anyone and everyone. She is a great fit for the role as Housing Navigator and we welcome her to our team!!

Back to Purpose is an Entrepreneurship Programme for New Impact-Driven Entrepreneurs in New Zealand. It is a 10-week programme running two times in the first half of 2021. The programme is designed to inspire and enable young people looking to create and test a new business idea or join a team of like-minded entrepreneurial thinkers.
By the end of the programme, you can expect to be equipped with the tools and mindset required to start your own business and be connected to a vibrant community of entrepreneurs and startups.

During the festive season our service was blessed with food parcels and again this week with fresh vegies for our young families, all were delievered and the rest to Taumafai Aoga Amata and families in our community. Thank you so much to Marina and her team.
Our Youth Service re-opens this Monday, 11th January from 9am - 5pm except Wednesday 9.30am - 5pm.
If you know of anyone who is 16-17 years old who may want support with their career pathway, come in and see us at 71 Ashworth Street Tokoroa (behind TWOA) or ring 0800GOWERA.
